White Gold Corp (TSX.V: WGL; OTC – Nasdaq Intl: WHGOF; FRA: H4U) is excited to announce that it has intercepted 5.04 g/t Au over 20.85 meters in the western extension of the Near Surface High Grade Gold Zone at its wholly owned district scale portfolio of properties in the Yukon’s White Gold district. This discovery occurs within a steeply dipping shear zone in metasediments and occurs at 44-meters downhole from surface.
The Betty Ford target is a part of the Umbrella Fault, a major regional fault zone located at the western margin of the district. This intercept at Betty Ford expands the gold-mineralized system confirmed in the Near Surface High Grade Gold Zone and confirms its presence to the west. Additionally, a number of gold occurrences were intercepted in the sulphide domain located between 36.55 and 96 meters downhole.
White Gold Corp CEO, David D’Onofrio, commented that “We are extremely pleased to see the western extension of the high grade gold zone at the Betty Ford gold target which had been identified early in our exploration process. This extension demonstrates that the mineralizing system is larger than anticipated and could lead to expanded inventory and mineral resources potentially at a shallow depth.”
White Gold Corp has expanded its exploration activities to include a total of 19 Faro-style targets within the White Gold district in the Yukon. The company is currently exploring seven high-priority core drill targets, which are part of its larger technology-rich district scale portfolio of 22 properties and 208,000 ha. Recent discoveries and expansion of the whitelaw gold system have led to White Gold Corp rapidly expanding its inventory of gold resources and demonstrating the true potential of the White Gold district.
