It seems that a nightclub in Moscow, Russia, is taking partying to an entirely new level. Recently, a naked celebrity party took place at the venue, where guests were encouraged to dress as though they had nothing on underneath, and the backlash has been fierce and swift.
The goal of the racy event was apparently to replicate a “Hollywood A-lister” experience, and in order to do that the guests were encouraged to be as scantily clad as possible. Interestingly, authorities have stated that no laws were broken, as the event was held in a private area of the nightclub.
Still, many citizens are not pleased with the event, given Russia’s conservative heritage and values. Indeed, many in the country believe that this event is a terrible example to be giving the younger generation-particularly given how much power and status that celebrities have.
At the same time, others are defending the event, arguing that nothing illegal happened and noting the importance of entertainment and expression in any culture. They argue that no matter how risque, this is still not in violation of the law, and thus should not be condemned.
No matter where one stands on the issue, it seems that this event is a prime example of how far people are willing to go for an extreme party experience, and the controversy it has sparked reflects the moral divide present in Moscow and the world at large.
